Wenige Tage nach einem Glashütter Vorlesung starb am 9. April Richard Daners in Luzern. Er war ein Uhmacher-Genie, befreundet und gehört zur Chronométrophilie. Während seiner Zeit als Mitarbeiter bei der Firma J. D. L. H. Gübelin arbeitete er verstärkt an Alternativhemmungen und Tourbillon für die Taschenuhr. Im Jahr 1997 erhält er den Preis für Uhren, der jährlich vom Schweizerischen Museum für Uhrmacherkunst (Institut l'Homme et le Temps) in Kooperation mit dem Internationalen Uhrenmuseum zuerkannt wird.

In vier Versionen erhältlich, macht die Automatik-Uhr mit einer Gangreserve von bis zu 80 Std. auf und unter der Wasseroberfläche, aber auch an der Landseite eine gute Figur: Dank dem geschraubten Gehäuseboden und der verschraubten Uhrkrone ist die 43mm-Uhr bis zu einem Anpressdruck von 30mbar (' 300m) wasserfest....

Dem Schwerkraftgesetz widersteht der Fliegende Tourenwagen von Renault - Ausgabe Luzern, so sieht es aus, in zweierlei Hinsicht: Sein Fliegender Tourenwagen setzt der Gravitation mit unermüdlichem Schwung ein Ende. Die mechanischen Armbanduhren werden in der Regel an einer "schleichenden Sekunde" erkannt.
